High street clothing brand River Island have collaborated with famous toy brand Harumika to create the worlds tiniest catwalk! The catwalk will be showcasing the Autumn/Winter 2012 look from their very popular ‘Chelsea Girl’ collection.
The mannequin models are the size of a pint glass, but they still use and wear the same designs and fabrics as they do on the full-size line. All together there are 10 fun size models, which are all rotating on a metre long circular runway! The Chelsea Girl collection is fun, fierce and flirty, so mixing this collection with the new phenomenon for teensy catwalks, goes hand-in-hand with red soles to a tailor made shoe.
Some of the collection has already landed at your local River Island, but some of you may have to wait till mid-November to dig out these goodies! And when I say goodies, of course I forgot to mention the best part; sequins, bomber, leopard, lace, crochet and metallic!
The very talented designer Christina Ruby Walton, made all 10 mini-me designs for the show. The Senior Designer for Chelsea Girl, Lucy Moller, said she was “overwhelmed with the skill that Christina has used to miniaturist our designs so accurately, creating a truly innovative way of displaying our new collection.”
