A new biopic about The Beatles‘ manager Brian Epstein is to be released, with Benedict Cumberbatch playing the starring role. Famous for playing the very British Sherlock Holmes in BBC’s Sherlock, and winning the top Critics Choice award for his role, Cumberbatch may appear the perfect choice to play “The fifth Beatle”.
However, the actor has met some controversy for criticising American programme Elementary‘s choice of having a female lead, and also complained about being the victim of “Posh-bashing“.
What are our readers thoughts on Cumberbatch being cast? Do you love him or hate him? Does he fit the role? Please comment.
